Our Mission
The Acton- Agua Dulce Arts Association is to cultivate and encourage visual and performing arts by sponsoring and providing diverse programs that add a further dimension to our community and our creative spirit.
The Acton-Agua Dulce Arts Association is a non-profit corporation formed in 2002 by community members, committed to promoting visual and performing arts in and for the benefit of the communities of Acton and Agua Dulce. With no art, music, or theater programs in our schools, the Council was created to fill that void, which has been done actively, energetically, and effectively with a variety of programs and events.
The Arts Association consists of a board of officers and directors, plus any and all interested community members. The Council also partners with community organizations in support of the arts. Meetings are held the second Tuesday of the month.
Statement of Equity and Inclusion
The Acton Agua Dulce Arts Council (also known as The Acton Agua Dulce Arts Association) organization is committed to elevating the arts through inclusion, diversity, equity and access. We must include all people in order to achieve our mission of making the world a better place through live theatre.
By creating diversity among participants and programs, we are strengthening the cultural fabric of our community. Doing so allows us to reflect the diverse perspectives of our artistic community, allowing our participants and guests to see themselves in our work while encouraging them to gain new understanding of others. The Acton Agua Dulce Arts Council believes in acceptance, tolerance and compassion for all people to connect humanity through the creative art of performance.
We want to allow expression, educate and inspire young artists to not just tolerate differences but celebrate them. We welcome all who wish to create a world without racism - a world in which love, equality and justice prevail.
